For more than fifty years, Bruce Springsteen’s music has been a part of the lives of listeners around the world— a soundtrack of first concerts and road trips, of friendships and family traditions, of difficult moments, and of celebrations. Those experiences are an important part of the history that the Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music seeks to preserve.
Springsteen Fan Stories is a monthly oral history program inviting fans to sit down with one of the Center’s trained docents to share their own Springsteen stories. These informal, audio-recorded conversations will capture memories of concerts, favorite songs and albums, encounters with Bruce and the E Street Band, friendships formed through fandom, collecting traditions, and the many ways Springsteen’s music has intersected with fans’ lives.
Interviews will take place at the Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music and, with participants’ permission, become part of the Center’s growing historical record.
