DESCRIPTION:“Tramps Like Us” Documentary to Premiere at Monmouth University August 24th\n\n\n\n\nGlobal Story of Bruce Springsteen Fans Comes Home to the Jersey Shore. \nWest Long Branch\, NJ — Tramps Like Us\, the new and highly anticipated feature-length documentary exploring the global Springsteen fan community\, will hold its world premiere on Sunday\, August 24\, 2025\, at 7:30 PM at the Pollak Theater at Monmouth University. \nThe Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music at Monmouth University in West Long Branch\, NJ\, will co-sponsor the event — the perfect setting to debut this powerful\, fan-driven tribute to Bruce Springsteen and his extraordinary impact. Also co-sponsoring the premiere is Spring-Nuts\, the vibrant global fan community uniting Springsteen devotees through shared experiences\, charitable endeavors and a deep appreciation for his music. \n“We’re thrilled to welcome Tramps Like Us film to our Pollak Theatre for its premiere!” said Eileen Chapman\, Director of the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music. “We’re excited to share in the experiences and storytelling of fans near and far.” \nDirected by David Barry\, the film spans more than 250 interviews across 20 countries\, weaving together deeply personal stories into a powerful global conversation. \n“The Tramps Like Us film explores how Bruce Springsteen’s music\, message and presence have shaped lives and created lifelong connections\,” said Barry. “It’s a tribute to the extraordinary relationship between Bruce\, his music and his fans.” \nA true grassroots creation\, Tramps Like Us was made possible by the Springsteen fan community itself. Over 350 fans from around the world contributed to a successful crowdfunding campaign that raised more than $50\,000\, making this one of the most ambitious fan-funded music documentaries to date. \nThe film’s Sunday evening premiere also will serve as the culminating event of the Spring-Nuts’ seventh annual Serenade weekend in Asbury Park\, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the world-renowned Spring-Nuts fan group. This year the Spring-Nuts’ Sunday afternoon Serenade gala will take place at the Stone Pony on Aug. 24\, from noon to 5 PM. \n“Spring-Nuts is so proud and thrilled to be a co-promoter of this epic film Tramps Like Us\,” said Howie and Julie Chaz\, founders of Spring-Nuts. “We could not have asked for a better way to cap off Serenade weekend than to watch this mind-blowing collection of personal and profound Springsteen fans’ stories together with all our fellow Spring-Nuts at Monmouth University. TeachRock was founded by E Street Band’s Stevie Van Zandt along with Bono\, Jackson Browne\, Martin Scorsese and Bruce Springsteen.\n\nThanks to the generosity of sponsors\, 100% of ticket proceeds from the premiere will go to these charitable partners. \nDirector David Barry\, a lifelong Springsteen fan and New Jersey native\, has created 11 feature-length documentaries centered on musical stories.
