SUMMARY:On Sale NOW - Premier Screening of American Music Honors 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music is pleased to announce the premiere screening of the 2025 American Music Honors event. The screening of this very special evening honoring American Music icons John Fogerty\, Tom Morello\, Smokey Robinson\, Emmylou Harris\, and Joe Ely will be held on Thursday\, November 13th\, at 7:30 p.m. at the intimate Pollak Theatre\, where the sold-out awards event was held on April 26\, 2025. \nEach of the 2025 honorees\, accompanied by the Marc Ribler & the Disciples of Soul band\, contributed awe-inspiring performances that completely blew the audience away. Hosted by Brian Williams\, the evening was filled with eloquent and thoughtful remarks by honorees and their presenters: Bruce Springsteen\, Patti Scialfa\, Stevie Van Zandt\, and Nils Lofgren. The evening concluded with the audience on their feet while honorees and presenters shared the stage and jammed to such hits as “Going to a Go-Go”\, “Boulder to Birmingham”\, “Fortunate Son”\, “The Ghost of Tom Joad”\, Proud Mary”\, and culminating in a jam-packed stage performance of “This Land is Your Land”. \nTickets for the film screening are $20 and will go on sale on Tuesday\, October 21st at 1 p.m. \nAbout American Music Honors: AMH celebrates artists who have demonstrated artistic excellence\, creative integrity\, and a longstanding commitment to the value of music in our national story.\nJohn Fogerty\, (“Green River”\, “Bad Moon Rising”\, “Born on the Bayou”)\, whose “Weeping on the Promised Land” served as a moving tribute for those who had been affected by the pandemic.\nSmokey Robinson\, (“The Tracks of My Tears”\, “Tears of a Clown”\, “I Second That Emotion”)\, whose career has spanned four decades and has accumulated 4000 songs to his credit\nEmmylou Harris\, (“Red Dirt Girl”\, “Sweet Dreams”\, “Blue Kentucky Girl” ) who has been a longtime social activist\, lending her voice to many causes\, including animal welfare.\nTom Morello\, (“Killing in the Name”\, “Bulls on Parade”\, “Like a Stone”) is a vocal political activist\, social justice advocate\, and sponsor of music education programs. \nJoe Ely\, (“Fools Fall in Love”\, “Because of the Wind”\, “Settle For Love”)\, whose songs feature themes of immigration\, poverty\, war\, injustice\, freedom\, and other social issues. \nAbout BSACAM: The Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music serves as the official repository for the musical legacy of Bruce Springsteen. The Archives includes photographs\, periodicals\, oral histories\, rare recordings\, historic footage\, and artifacts related to Springsteen and the E Street Band.  The Center for American Music produces museum exhibitions\, seminars\, concerts\, and other public and educational programs that both explore and celebrate the nation’s rich music tradition.
